i will file for usa citizenship this month.how long is the process when do they call u for finger print or interview if i file in november, how long is the entire process to get the passport.Guys i need ur advice about immigration if ur american u will know this?
Hi,
The timeline for your citizenship process is determined by your District Office.
The entire process, from N-400 application to oath ceremony takes about 6 months. Maybe a little less, maybe a little more.
After your oath ceremony, you are a US citizen. You can use the Certificate you get at the ceremony as evidence to petition an immediate family member, and you can use it to apply for a US passport.
The passport office has cleared their backlog, and the application normally takes 2-4 weeks.Guys i need ur advice about immigration if ur american u will know this?
i have never had to do this, but it takes a good number of years... welcome to America = governments takes an eternity to get somethign done... and wont be efficiently either.. plan on waiting a number of years to finish it
I am not sure how long it takes but i do want to thank you for trying to come here legally. We welcome legal immigrants. Not law breaking illegals who sneak there way in.
I know this. http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu6tpjS5HEi鈥?/a>
Now you know this.
You are most welcome.
Why come to America in the first place%26gt;
Why would we know this? If we are americans (born here) we didn't have to go through it.
As for time for US citizenship process and paperwork it depends on how efficient the system is running right now. That and if they don't find and problems with your history. As long as you have nothing to hide you should be fine, most likely in a year. But because of Homeland Security and all the other bureaucratic crap all I can say is have patience and stay on top of your paperwork and the processing. You probably get a better answer by doing some research on-line.
The passport process can be awhile itself, better part of 6 months (system is backed up because of border laws). Again do some research and I'm sure you will get a better answer to your questions through gov't sites.
Hope this helps you out some.
